One of the absolute best female protagonists I have ever read. The story was beautiful and interesting and new. This is a fantasy story of past and present and family life. It was unbelievable. So freaking good.

This continues to be good. I must admit that the Cleft storyline is a big part of it. Also Gregors. Orso is charming and reminds me a bit of a vanilla Glokta. I don't know why, but it is probably his attitude.
I do not really care for the romance, but it doesn't seem like it is supposed to be a big part of the story. Unfortunately I don't care too much for the main character. I think she needs a bit more... Something. To me she is primarily someone who swears a lot and who do dangerous things. That's a little too harsh, but the supporting characters is more interesting to me. Will continue whenever the last book is released.

My mood was probably a bit off, because I can see why it would be good in other times. Simon's travels around the world just dragged on for me.
