The first half of the book was good, but the second half was kind of disjointed and bad. The final chapter felt so out of place, and like there was a hard stop in the middle of the action to an unsatisfying wrap up.

I also thought that making Clio "not real" was the worst choice of the book. It made a lot of my favorite parts of the book feel pointless, and then it felt like a retcon to make her actually the Prismata? But it was a like, ten pages ago when they did it. I felt like there could have been better twists.

 

I had just started this book when I had the plot of book two spoiled for me. Has some plot devices I am not a fan of in it, and so I decided that I'm ok just not reading this series.

I got to the part where a grown woman slaps her own butt in front of her boss's office door and could not do it anymore. HR needs to actually do something about these two. Josh isn't sexy, he is pretty gross, and Lucy is annoying.
