I first read this book years ago, when I was in 6th grade, and absolutely adored it. I then spent the next years trying to find it again. Rereading it as a college student still gives me the same amazing feelings as before. It really is a wonderful, fantastic, crazy read, that deserves to be read over and over and over again.

Sia Martinez is a wonderful protagonist, with witty banter and strong emotions. She was extremely compelling. Everything about the book was interesting.

A beautiful historical fiction. Lu compels the reader to step into the shoes of a forgotten figure, who had impacted the world greatly, while mixing in fantastical elements to capture the soul of anyone wanting to make a difference.
