I enjoyed the story and the characters.
The world in which they lived is so different to today that it was frustrating, infuriating and sad to read, knowing that incidents like this to no fault of their own happened to woman, but I can't help but leave the story feeling as if it's not done.
I have so many questions that I feel will never be answered and emotions that can't be processed because character stories weren't delved into as much as I would have loved them to have been.

It was a good read but left me wanting.
