Finalllllly Ever is starting to explore all of the people in her life without Damon's influence. However, she is taking her damn time and wanting other people to tell her who she should be with... then again I have only read 60% of the book at this point.

This book was the epitome of unspoken words that black families have told their children and will continue to tell the next generation. Mostly because of fear, loss of autonomy of the Black body, Safety, and privilege that we lack in relation to those who believe their they are White.
