Wow!! I just loved this book. It is the fact that we get a horny grandma for me. This grandma has a layers and I want everyone to read the book to find out what those layers are. This follows the story of a young woman with a family who recently lost her mother figure. At the funeral she meets a woman who told her that she was her biological mother. The young woman invites her into her home and then things starts to get interesting, weird, and fast pace.

Each chapter felt like a big reveal and wonderful. I felt like I was on a the best of scavenger hunts of understanding the secrets of the grandmother and the young woman’s husband.

Wow Katee! You did that!

I got an awesome opportunity to speak with Nekesa about Dead, Dead Girls. What I loved most about this book was the setting and family relationship elements. As I read this book, I was reminded of what it must have been like for a black woman as a detective at this time. I found the protagonist to be lead to help other girls due to her relationship with her sisters. The cover art is stunning and I can’t wait to read Harlem Sunset!

4.75 rating for sure. I enjoyed the slow pace of this volume. I also like how much Hazel is developing and the love of the two main characters.

What a good introductory to a story of two being from different parts of the world. They are trying their best to care for themselves and their new baby. I think the father's dedication to being no-violent is admirable and how much his wife keeps him in check with his anger.

Eve! What a gentle human being. Protect Eve at all cost. I truly enjoyed this beautiful neurodivergent love story and was sad as hell that the series has ended. I am waiting for a cousin or something to pop up in the future.

Well, well well Apollo has been turned into a man. Although he really does not like being called a man. Apollo had some moments of redemption throughout the book. However, his almighty and god audacity most definitely showed it's face on occasion. I am curious to see how he handles being a human and retrieving the oracles for the prophecy.
