This was a beautiful and heartbreaking story of grief, how drugs impacts communities, and the expendable nature of indigenous girls and women. So many lessons that were taught in the books needed to be recorded so that at a later date I can reflect on this.

Chi Miigwech Angela for tell a story from the heart and reminding us effects of truth tellingg and windigo behaviors.

This book is a reminder of the horrific legacy of boarding schools and how indigenous children a were forcefully removed from their homes. The father in this story was moving! The things we do to stay home!

Language is so powerful and to have it stolen is a feeling and pain that generations are feeling today. I hope first language speakers and those who are fluent will continue to read h their languages and their words.

Although the story is set up like a thriller, this is real life. Often black and brown children who grow up in poverty or in areas where people make the assumptions that they are up to no good, stereotypes get put upon them. This is a story about grief and coming to the realization that because you look a certain way you will always be deemed as less than. This is a story about finding revenge upon systems that were never built for you to walk through. This is a story about how a family experienced such immense grief in different ways. This is a story about being a child and dealing with the realities of parenting your parents . This is a story about all those things that ask a question how do you reconcile with so many identities that is tearing you through your grief?

If you are a fan of Angie Thomas this is the book for you.

Wow! A must read erotica about how testing your boundaries can help out a relationship in the long run. It’s also about making decisions about what you are willing and NOT willing to do to please your partner. I loved that the book is in two perspectives. It adds to the steaminess if you ask me.

I need! I mean I need to read more books by this author! I need to know more!

This is my second Rachel book. The issue I had with the first one was the pacing. This book was faster pace. I was excited that I kept rethinking who I thought did the murder. I was so focused on my hatred and uncomfortableness with one of the characters that I missed it. Touché Rachel, touché!

Typically bad parents are too much for me to read. However, I felt like this book had just enough of it without making me (the reader) annoyed with the constant reminder that the MC had an unsupportive mom. I think that’s why I had so much trouble with Violin Conspiracy because it was tooo much.

This is a story of NOTHING and I mean NOTHING is what it seems. When you think something is surface level it is much deeper than that. You second guess yourself just like the MC. I thought that was chef kiss! I’ve never read a book where I was feel the same emotion as the MC while reading.

We continue to learn about Fauna in this book. We meet some new characters who are either funny and extremely dangerous. We learn about how family is what you make of it and the definition changes. Something I was afraid of happening in book 1 happened in this book and I am not sure if I will recover. Tears ran, gosh did they run. I really enjoyed that we got most of his book from Fauna’s perspective. I find her to be endlessly intriguing. She most definitely
showed to her parents and those who uses her age as point to not be capable of things underestimate every time!
