I loved this book so much. Nora and Charlie have relatable, real world problems, traumas, and anxieties. They also have a beautiful love story, and amazing supporting characters. I loved the ending so much.

I LOVED People We Meet on Vacation and I LOVED Book Lovers even more… Beach Read was just meh for me? I didn’t like Gus and January as much as Emily Henry’s other main characters. But the book was okay, not boring at all, but not one I felt like I just absolutely had to keep going.

I don’t know if it’s just been overhyped for me or what but I think this book is only a 3 1/2 stars. It’s good but grrm is certainly weird for writing children this way and it’s rather uncomfortable, making it hard to enjoy.

First off, this book is MUCH better than It Ends With Us, Colleen pls stick the thrillers, you’re much better at it!!

This book didn’t have any major plot twists but it certainly messes with your mind in a way that keeps you questioning whether you buy in to the evil Verity or the writer Verity. (I find myself inclined to the evil Verity). But the positioning of the conclusion is done so well that it makes you truly question it. And it circles back to the manipulation Verity was so good at regardless of who she truly was.

The only problem I have with this book is the sleepwalking subplot… really only served the purpose of the locks on doors and seemed rather lazy? I think there certainly were better, more realistic and better plot devices to make the locks necessary… even just her being in a strangers home and requesting a lock was probably enough.

This one was just okay to me… the ending was not nearly as good as the first and I wanted more from Sansa and Arya.

The ending of this book was much better than the whole rest it took to get there. I felt as though the foreshadowing leading up to Joffrey and Robb’s deaths were so obvious I was not shocked at all over those and so the lead up to those big things felt dismal and not very satisfactory.

I did however like Arya and Sansa’s storylines a lot in this book and was sincerely surprised by Sansa’s end in this book. Petyr pushing the least likable character off a cliff felt great, but I was shocked to learn of Petyr’s hand in murdering Jon… interested to see where that goes. Arya and the Hound I enjoyed together to be honest, not tons to add besides that.

Davos i love as a character but that storyline is so boring I’m over it.

Jon Snow’s storyline again bored me, until the end when he became lord commander.

Why is this book ranked so high by others?

It’s a solid 3 from me, it wasn’t bad, but certainly nowhere near as engaging as previous books.

So many words to reach conclusions in this book that could’ve been reached much faster.

Biggest irritation is Arya’s character being in some holy place. So frustrating and boring.
