Lexie Martin is an intelligence analyst who finds out about a chemical weapon attack, only to be warned by a stranger to keep quiet. Lexie tries to save the intel as she's accused of stealing it and running for her life.  In an effort to keep the intel safe, Lexie convinces her new girlfriend, Sophia Flores to vacation with her but risks the possibility of their relationship being built on secrets.
Being a fan of E.J Noyes, I always look forward to their books. This one has some good action scenes, sardonic dialogue from Lexie when she finds herself in a tight spot or dealing with by-the-book agents and some spice between Lexie and Sophie as their relationship blooms. There are some parts that lag, but the story moves along leaving us on a “soft” cliffhanger. I’m looking forward to the second book that comes out in November.

This book was a sweet and sexy delight from the first page until the last. Brinley and Annalise are two peas in a pod with Brinley proposing to teach Annalise everything she knows about pleasing women. But Annalise isn’t into women, or is she?  And she’s only doing this because her grandmother, yes, her grandmother has signed up Annalise on a site for hooking up called “The Lit Clit”.  I laughed and thoroughly enjoyed this story. The side characters were great, moving the story along. No games, no angst, no miscommunication and good consent. Just two cute adults following a sapphic sex syllabus. This book is a great way to kick off the summer and pride month!

From page one and on, I could not put this book down. The story of Catharine and Alex unfolds beautifully. But there is so much more to this story. It’s what keeps the pages turning. There were moments where I had to pause and take in a deep breath before I could continue on. There are so many obstacles that stand in the way and  you’re cheering on Catharine and Alex even as your own heart breaks for them. Jen Lyon’s style of writing makes the words flow and pulls you in. This author’s prose is just beautiful, descriptive, moving, robust.  I highly recommend reading this book and the series!
