This was another quick read by Jack Dane. It was an interesting psychological thriller that kept me guessing until the very end. Whatever you thought was going to happen, it wasn’t that! I did lower to 3.75 stars because it felt like some things were left unexplained at the end. But I still enjoyed the read.

Absolutely blown away by Matt’s insights once again!
At this point, my bar for Matt Haig’s books is pretty high. And this book definitely reached the bar! It was an insightful read about life and loving yourself and accepting things as they are and being ok with not being ok. I especially liked that there wasn’t a start or end to it like a story would have had. It was open and showed how things in life, both good and bad, can exist and continue to go back and forth. As he puts in the book “Even though I have largely recovered from depression, the door is never quite closed, always slightly ajar. I sometimes feel it, light like the ghost of a breeze, very much there. Unseen, but felt.”

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC! I was very excited to read this book.
This book was a beautifully written representation of life and love and what it means to live and be true to yourself. The story follows two souls as they reincarnate together in each life. One of the things I loved most about this was that their gender is never set in stone. It showed how the soul transcends above all and how who you are inside is all that matters. And the twist at the end….mind blowing!
The story focused more on character development and plot so there wasn’t as much detail for settings. This worked well because it kept the focus on the characters and the story so you don’t get lost in the details of everything else. Also, even the minor characters were so well written. I really felt like they all had their own personality traits and were very distinguishable from each other.

This book was alright. It had some good themes/topics in it that I think were portrayed fairly well. It wasn’t anything super amazing that blew my mind but I did like how it ended
I have never read an entire book in less than 24 hours before. I loved this book because the whole time it keeps you guessing about what is actually going on. Even up to the last page! Definitely a great twisty thriller!
