Pretty, pretty good. The bits about the architects of the World's Fair was surprisingly way more interesting than I thought they'd be. Holmes is fucking terrifying.

3.5 stars. Her discussions of the women from history that she looked up to and were influenced by was very interesting and well written. When she talked about herself? Yeah, not really into that. I understand her (somewhat self-indulgent) need to reflect about living the "single" life (but not really cuz she literally made it sound like she had a boyfriend basically at all times), but that's not really the "spinster" life, at least according to the traditional definition. But whatever, this book was encouraging and gave me stuff to think about. Also don't rub it in my face that you literally can't walk down the street without getting asked out on a date. What. Ev. Er.

3.75 stars. Scientists are weird.

3.75 stars. P good.

So beautifully written with such immaculate character development. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because I personally felt like it got a little too dramatic towards the end. Like, okay Hanya, you're just TRYING to make me cry now.

Also, I know everyone says this but it's true: trigger warnings for basically everything, especially child molestation and physical abuse. I had to skip over a few pages.

4.5 stars

Besides the racist and sexist comments in this book, it was awesome.
