Black Panther: World of Wakanda
Yona Harvey, Afua Richardson, Rembert Browne, Joe Bennett, Roxane Gay, Ta-Nehisi Coates
4.5 stars. I'm getting into it.
This should be required reading for middle school/high school/ANY curriculum that discusses American history. It's accessible, it's relevant, and it's important.
This shit was crazy! Incompetent people in positions of power out for their own gain. Provost getting disgraced and ruined for doing his job. Good thing we don't- oh wait...
3.75 stars. Extremely entertaining, just not entirely my style. I'll probably read a few more volumes, but I don't think I'll end up reading the whole thing.
3.5 stars. A solid book with an important story. Towards the end it gets a bit preachy, but it's full of interesting observations and musings. The experience of reading the story is well worth its flaws.
If you love Carrie Brownstein and Sleater-Kinney, you will love this book. Heck, if you just love MUSIC, you will probably love this book. The way Carrie talks about music, being a fan, and just life in general is so, so good.
