Cormac McCarthy is one of my favorite authors, and I tried my hardest to like this book. However, I felt that it dragged on with no real purpose, and the storyline left me depressed after every reading. I continued reading it to the very end, hoping I would grow to like it, but it never happened for me. Maybe I wasn't in the right "mood" when I read it, but it took me a good six months to get through this book.
