This was better than the first. However, the world-building is still very bad and I don't get why Ember is so much like an angsty teenager when she's a dragon and dragons are different. This had so much potential and I just want it to live up to it.

This series is still pretty flawed, but it gets a lot better. There was so much potential though. Dragons are such an interesting concept that no one does enough with.

Very well written and interesting, but it was a bit long. The characters are well developed and have consistent personalities, I found all of the perspectives interesting and they moved the plot forward. Can't wait to find out more about this world in the next few books.

Well, this started off boring and the writing style did no help. It was all telling all the time and it made it hard to get lost in the books and feelings and supposed nuances. The point by point writing made the fighting scenes boring. It felt very devoid of emotion when emotional connections were a large part of the story.

Also, this was very, very cluttered and convoluted. There were a lot of interesting concepts that didn't get introduced until 40% into the book, then then they were glossed over way too quickly. Nothing got the right amount of attention or too much attention. Plot elements seemed to come out of nowhere or go away after a brief only to be abruptly brought up again.

There were a few good scenes here and there, but I spent a lot of this confused and trying to figure out what exactly happened and I'm still not sure.

I don't really know how to rate this :/ It was helpful and did what I wanted it to do for me??? I was 100% surprised this book was actually here. I looked it up on a whim (and I was hoping it would count towards my reading challenge). It was extremely helpful.

This play was amazing. Saw it at my local theatre and I was blown away. The way the monologues and arcs are curated to be told through 7 different viewpoints is outstanding. It has all the right levels of mystery and intrigue while being entertaining and interesting.

If you love art styles, and that is your primary reason for loving graphic novels, buy this and don't bother reading the rest of the review. The art in this is absolutely without a doubt stunning and it is consistently so. You will not be disappointed. I was routinely pulled out of the story to drool over the stunning visuals before my eyes.

However, this book was lacking in plot and character. It had a very interesting premise.No has been able to have children or grow crops because the little soul spirits that are basically life are being gathered by these machines for the Cyan who want to harness their energy and live eternal life and this makes the gods very, very angry. It had so much potential, especially in the beginning. The start and build-up was good and then something switched pretty early on and the book started to pick up the pace way to quickly. Suddenly there were things happening left and right and the characters we had just met were everywhere at every time with little build-up. This made all of the characters feel pretty bland as the story progressed and none of them stood out by the end of the book. It would slow down here and there to establish something (though not really as I was still left with a lot of questions) and then went back to fast and then and then and then pace. While I was able to get immersed in the story and enjoy the stunning visuals, I was often confused and had a lot of questions. However, when this was not the case, I found myself enjoying the story as I had a genuine interest in the concept and the world, I only wish that it had better development and pacing as well as better characters with a proper arc.

I found this on the family Kindle and thought why not take a peek as I haven't been reading much this month. It was really week done; I was quite surprised. Every thing was very comprehensible, and it included images to help show locations of secret objects and the strategies to get them. This book was well-cornered too, it looked great on the screen. It was a quick read, not taking up a lot of my time and I'm thinking the feeling of just finishing another book, no matter how short or silly it really is, will help me read some more before the month is done.

I didn't get to try any of the techniques mentioned as we have Angry Birds Star Wars II, but it feel pretty confident that if I memorized the content of this novel I would be an awesome player. Would recommend to anyone who has the game and doesn't want to buy all the levels.
