This book is very USAmerica focused, so I do wonder how all of the political stuff would apply in Canada. However, overall I think it is very interesting.
The chapters cover a variety of topics in different manners including case studies, historical studies, and comparison analysis. It provides solid overviews on all of the topics covered with concrete real-world examples.
Loved the history stuff. I personally find the history of urban development so interesting, scratches such a cool itch that I have by explaining the way things are right now.

I was not sure what to expect going into this, but I was pleasantly surprised. The book has a fairytale feel to it, capturing the conflict between the magic of childhood and growing up that the target audience of tween/young adults will appreciate. A very whimsical urban legend/modern fairytale.

This book takes you by the shoulders and brings you into Carrie's whirlwind tennis career. Jenkins managed to make in-page sport interesting.
What didn't totally sell me on this book was Carrie herself. I wasn't fully invested in her or her journey as a character.

Loved the art style and the stylistic choices for Shiz and the rest of Oz. I'm very interested to see what parts of the second half of this book get adapted and what gets omitted.

I didn't like this one as much as i did the first book. This one was close to being painfully slow at points. I still loved Arden's writing, but I found that I wasn't captivated by the fantasy of it all as I was in the first book. This one felt less like a fairytale.
