i mostly enjoyed this! it had tessa dare’s charm, but the miscommunication bugged me and sometimes the men were too sexist. but i am so glad she cried!!! crying is good!! its a super fun book, tho
emotional
my least fav of the series so far. they were never really “enemies” and some of the dialogue felt unrealistic. the spice was decent but not my fav

def my fav juliette cross so far. except the conflict felt a little unreasonable and i wanted to SEE a scene of him telling her she was his mate and her telling him about beryl’s prediction

this was my first sarah maclean, and i did like it, but it wasn’t my fav. the story was nice and all, and i know that maclean considers herself a “third act breakup evangelist,” but i really felt like king should have had to grovel more for how he acted. and her family coming in at the end could have been done better imo the politics in this were *chef’s kiss* tho
