some parts of this were cringey, but m.a. wardell’s charm makes up for any cheesiness. idk how he does it

kasie west remains the queen of ya romance, but this one just wrapped up too quickly. it should have been just like 20 pages longer so it didnt feel so rushed and unfinished

i will read more cecilia grant because her writing isnt bad, but this was just not for me. i found the mmc to be very annoying and lacking character development. also, the chapters were long, or at least they felt long. each one was a slog to get through, which made the pacing feel even slower, and i expect novellas to be faster paced.

i found the first 25% to be weaker than the last 75%, but i am still glad that i read this, and i think the end was also really interesting

this was informative, but the information could have been delivered in a more compact manner because the length sometimes made it a bit boring. the author did an okay job at being objective, but he definitely could have been less biased. i especially did not like that it occasionally felt like berg made excuses for wilson’s racism. i would have liked an epilogue and/or afterword, too.
