this couple was great together, and the spice scenes were top tier. however, even though this book had an hea, the ending actually made me sad :(

click by katharine mcgee: 4/5

the intern by sara shepard: 4/5

somewhere that’s green by meredith russo: 1.5/5. dont like the “closeted homophobe” trope. and i think its messed up that lucian would be friends with lexie. i would never be friends with someone who went on the news and said my best friend didnt deserve human rights

oomph by emery lord: 4.25/5

the dictionary of you and me by jennifer l. armentrout: 5/5

i liked this book, but i will say that crescent city is the only sjm series where my ratings have gotten lower as the series progressed. i liked the characters and the writing, but i wasn’t obsessed with the plot
particularly i didnt absolutely love the resolution of the very end conflict because it felt a lil reminiscent of kingdom of ash, when the king gives his life for aelin. it wasn’t exactly the same, but it was kinda similar, so i would have liked a slight bit more creativity in regards to that
the last 2 chapters were really sweet tho, and i was satisfied with the ending

i have enjoyed everything i’ve read from olivia atwater so far, but this didn’t quite hit for me. for the first 3/4 of the book, the only characters i cared about were robert and cook. i don’t think this should be classified as a romance, because the romance didn’t feel essential to the story, and the characters didn’t really have chemistry until the very end, in my opinion

i was wary of the premise but charmed, as always, by cat sebastian’s writing. i just thought the last 30% dragged a bit

this was such a fun read!!! it is a great example of how amazing christina lauren is. i liked it more than the first in the series and a lot more than i expected to like it. the audio was also pretty good!

these characters were so sweet, and their relationship was so precious 🩷 this was the perfect cozy sports romance to read on this superbowl sunday!

i enjoy gemma voss’ stories, but i do wish they were edited a little more, because there are some obvious mistakes, like chapters being labeled with the wrong pov. i enjoyed the relationship and the more lighthearted parts of this book in particular, but the darker elements werent my favorite. i dont think they were done badly, i just didnt personally enjoy them.
