lighthearted

i’ve read it before, but this was my first reread of it. super good book and awesomely adorable, just like all of kasie west’s books!! i only wish we got to see more of their relationship at the end :/

3rd read/2nd reread: i still liked it! i think the beginning is very corny but i do appreciate the rest of it and i think its a fun & lighthearted read!
emotional sad

i read this book a few years ago and i don’t remember anything about it except for that it made me bawl my eyes out. well, it did it again. i wish i had the words to describe this book but i dont.

piper says a lot of cliches. jason gets on my nerves. franks self consciousness annoys me. i hate the scene were percy summons the poison. but the most beautiful thing about this book is that i see its flaws and i still love it so much. i love how percy and annabeth are parts of each other. i love bob and damasen. i love seeing hazel harness her power. i love learning more about nico. his story is so important. but most of all. i love leo. i LOVE leo and calyspo. i love how he grows throughout the book. leo is one of my all time favorite characters in all literature

i am so incredibly attached to these characters. i always will be. they are a part of me. yes, jason bugs the crap out of me and is my least favorite character in all of rick riordan’s work, but every other aspect of the story makes up for it. also, I LOVE LEO SO MUCH!!! he is so necessary and his story is one that needed to be told.

update 4/4/22: i have changed my rating of this book to 4.5 stars. it is probably the only time i will have any book from the percy jackson franchise as less than 5 stars, but i just HATE jason. he is entitled, stuck up, and acts like he is the hero even when piper and leo do all of his dirty work.

this book was SO. INCREDIBLY. STRESSFUL. the strain in percy and annabeth’s relationship affected me much more than i remember it. This book, along with the Titan’s Curse, really shows the reader that percy and annabeth need eachother. it’s like grey’s anatomy; they are each others person. and while rachel isnt a bad person and her storyline is important in the grand scheme of things, she still bugs the crap out of me

Easily the best Percy Jackson book. It is mind-blowingly good.

Honestly, sometimes Percy is cringey, but I should expect that as an adult reading a middle grade book. I do love him very much, though. I just wish he got to talk to annabeth more at the end

I have read this book many times, but this time, it felt extra special. To me, this book was all about friendship and love and loyalty and just having a circle of people that are just there. there on your good and bad days and everything in between. i loved all the character development in this book

a reread: i still love the friendship in this book so so much❤️❤️

I love this book, and I probably always will. I found a few parts cringey, but I am an adult and it is a middle grade novel, so I can’t exactly judge it for that.

honestly, every time i reread this, i get more out of it. rick riordan’s storytelling is wonderful
