Such an incredible novella oh my goodness! I love Lilith so dang much - she’s smart and bold and probably neurodivergent in some way and she’s just the best! Vale is so broody and “vampiric” and I love that he accepts Lilith for exactly how she is! So much happens in this lil book but it never feels rushed or too fast paced like some novellas, it’s just so good!

Okay I absolutely loved this up until the last like 15% cause what was that ending?! Definitely was hoping for a bit more resolution or some indication that it was all worth it, but it feels like everything just went back to “normal” for everyone.

I really enjoyed the aspects of navigating the wastelands and dealing with the mutations, and loved the forced proximity that brought our hunter and hunter together. It did feel a bit insta-lovey without much basis to their feelings, but I still enjoyed the sweet, sapphic romance.

Overall, I was left feeling a bit disappointed, but it could also be partially because I reread the hunger games not too long ago which is just peak dystopian in my mind! Would definitely still recommend giving this a read, as I enjoyed it a lot overall!

Such a beautifully painful story of love, trauma, healing, and letting go 🥹 I loved watching Alexis slowly open herself up to love and being cared for by Daniel and the town, and for her to love and care for them right back. It was such a classic “big city rich girl falls for small town guy” trope but i LOVED it for exactly that. I read Just For The Summer first, so it was really great to come back and see how Alexis and Daniel got to where they are in that book. It was so unexpectedly emotional and dealt with heavy topics like abuse so delicately and I just really loved it.

Really enjoyed this one! Emma was such a dynamic character - I loved her and rooted for her, but also wanted to scream at her to go to therapy!!! Her healing journey through ptsd and her childhood trauma was truly so beautiful to watch, and I loved the way that mental health struggles were handled in this book.

And Justin was just the best. I loved his habit of sending surveys and really just putting so much thought into whatever he does. I loved the way that healthy friendships in this book are highlighted too - seeing friends who support and challenge one another, and want to see each other succeed and thrive in life 🥹 it’s just so dang sweet.

Some parts of the narration bugged me a bit (mainly the way certain side characters were voiced) so I think I may have preferred the visual read, but the audiobook was overall still very enjoyable!

I forgot so much of what happens in this book and was just devastated over and over again. Such a rollercoaster ride of an ending to the hunger games saga, and my heart breaks for every single character honestly.

The narrator just wasn’t doing it for me, and the FMC was driving me bonkers lol. Plot was intriguing enough but I think it just wasn’t for me!

An addictive read about toxic teens and ways their actions and choices haunted them. I was constantly wondering where the plot would go and what would happen next, and I think Julie Soto really wove together the paranormal mystery with the thriller aspects so well! I constantly went back and forth between rooting for characters and hating them, and the themes of feeling “not enough” for the cool, rich kids was so real.
