I found the concept of this universe incredibly interesting. The idea of vampires being slaves/employees/lovers of angels is one that I haven't seen before.
However, I found the constant "she is mine"-ing and erotic looks tiresome rather than titillating. The relationship between Raphael and Elena was telegraphed from the beginning and the consummation of said relationship wasn't exciting or climactic.
Unfortunately, the universe/world building isn't enough to keep me reading this series.

I find most glbt stories are either angst-ridden or sex-ridden with a flimsy plot and 2-dimensional characters.
I was pleased to find that this wasn't the case with Good Bones. There's a lot of careful time spend building Dylan's character and allowing the reader into his world. The relationships progress organically and don't seem forced.
There's too much time spent on detailed sex scenes, but I think I'm probably the only person who complains about that sort of thing. Also, I would have liked more of the supernatural element in the story - details about pack dynamics, werewolf weaknesses (silver, for example), that sort of thing.
But it was an enjoyable read and I suspect it will be well embraced by fans of the genre.
