This was a really good book, but also a pretty heartbreaking one. The subject matter of the Mattie Winston series has gotten darker over time and I believe it’s firmly outside of its former cozy genre. I always enjoy catching up with these characters.

This cozy had some good twists and turns that kept me riveted. A lovely read for a very cold day.

I really enjoyed this! It’s not what I would expect from Charlaine Harris but it was a great dystopian western.

This is a very enjoyable cozy. I love the deepening and exploration of the relationships in this book and it seems like good changes are on the horizon for Lucy!

Take a pet couture designer, add a national competition, 2 handsome suitors and a man tossed off a balcony and you get this fun cozy romp through New Orleans. With surprises, society moms and many cats in the mix, it makes for a diverting read.

The self-promotion is waaaaay out of hand. I cannot continue supporting this author after reading this book. The set up to the murder centres around the discussion of a book club book. Written by this author under her pen name Avery Aames. It’s so off-putting, I couldn’t finish the rest of the book. I know authors have to hustle to sell books but this crosses a line for me.

An enjoyable start to a series! This cozy introduces the reader to a wide selection of characters and relationships. Having 2 locations makes more story development possible. I’m really excited to continue reading about this beautiful area and these people.

This book is fantastic! What a great premise for a cozy series. Family feuds of the past inform family feuds of the present and genealogist Lucy tracks the clues through historical records to find the truth. Compelling and fun, I highly recommend this to someone looking for a new series.
