This book was decent but it felt disjointed in places. Not a strong first entry.

I can’t give this book a star rating. It was very well written but intensely disturbing. I don’t know if I loved it or hated it or would recommend it. I guess read at your own peril? Especially if you have little children. Maybe don’t read it if you have little children.

I think I’m done with this series. It’s not exciting for me anymore.

The emotional and relationship arcs in this book are too rapid and come off incredibly superficial. I like the setting and some of the characters but unfortunately the bad outweighs the good for me.

This was mostly enjoyable but the ending was rushed and unsatisfying.

This was a good first book. Interesting characters and relationships and a solid plot.

A dull retelling of history with magic swapped in for religion. Not enough nuances to keep me interested.
