What a great way to start a series! I read this book in one sitting. It was an easy read with a great cast of characters and a nice setting. It had the right balance of romance and humour and suspense and it flowed really well. Can't wait to read book two!

This book was so disappointing. It felt very rushed, there was no time or care given to character development or the plot or the relationships. It felt like it was written very quickly in order to finish it but it wasn't finished by any means.

I think if the author used this as a skeleton, it could be fleshed out into a good, solid book.

This book was full of cliches and really excessive graphic detail. It was extremely off-putting and it didn't add anything to the story. Very disappointing.

This mystery was very well-plotted and enjoyable. It reminded me of classic 'locked room' mysteries and I like that we got to explore this wonderful, disfunctional family dynamic.
