Written like Twilight fan-fiction. Couldn't finish it.

I really liked the premise of this book, but the writing needs a lot of development.

I really liked the idea of this book but the story really dragged. With sharper editing, it would be a great read.

I love this book! It's one of the better urban fantasy YA books I've read. The plot 'twist' was pretty heavily telegraphed, though, which was a bit of a disappointment. I was hoping it would be a red herring.

All in all, though, a great, entertaining read. I look forward to book 2.

One of the best debuts I've ever read. Gripping novel with complex characters and a fascinating world that we've only dipped our toes into. Cannot wait for Scarlet!
