Stunning collection. Checked it out from the library but I think I’ll buy this one.

This was cute but definitely had an “adult” voice. I genuinely cannot imagine a tween/teen enjoying it.

Liked this better than the first one. It is definitely hard to stomach the depiction of women in these though.

This was absolutely excellent. I’d love to see it performed. The dialogue was so, so good.

This is a really sweet, if dated book about a llama shepherd in the Andes. It beat out Charlotte’s Web for the Newbery Medal and gets a lot of hate for that reason, but it’s a simple, timeless tale. Doesn’t deserve it. I also cannot recall ever reading another children’s book about the Andes so props for that.

Very interesting book about the EIS, the investigative division of the CDC. This had been on my TBR since 2011, glad I finally got around to it.

I’d recommend it if you’re interested in epidemiology or public health.

Absolutely loved this multi generational autobiographical novel about a teenage girl from Canada with ties to China / Hong Kong. There's a bit of everything, family conflict, self image issues, counter culture, and struggle for identity. The art and color choice are perfect.

There are time jumps from grandmother to mother to child, but it's very easy to follow. Recommended for teens and adults.
