I listened to this book and the audio performance is stellar, if I was reading the book alone, I might have DNFed it or just given it 3 stars.

It hurts me in every way to give this such a low rating because I'm a big fan of Zen Cho but this was such a disappointment. I tried so hard to understand the choices made to write this book this way but none of them were executed well. The pacing was off, the chemistry didn't feel real, the tension was non-existent, and so many social issues distracted from the meat of the story. It's didn't read like a romance novel to me.
