Such a crushing, catastrophic, enjoyable read. I am wounded, but I have nothing but gratitude for Mr Besson.

I'm so obsessed with this collection! I loved it so much!

I absolutely enjoyed it.
Why are people calling it the Muslim Pride and Prejudice though? I didn't get that vibe at all.

It's almost hard to judge a memoir so I'm going to stick with how it made me feel. I was connecting with this book until the last two chapters. I don't even understand what was going on anymore but I'm happy Jayson shared this story with the world. I do wish I could read the wife's POV though.

I love this book so much. If you want an insight into Northern Nigeria and contemporary Muslim issues, this is the book for you.

Jennifer Makumbi can never disappoint me. This is an ambitious and beautifully executed anthology. Tenacity at its finest.
