I read this for the "A Western" part of my 2019 reading challenge. It has always been one of my favorite series, I love the whole family, from Martha to Rose.
I found that this book started out a little slow, but it picked up half way through and I really enjoyed it. Learning about the female bomber pilots was really interesting, and I liked how the stories wrapped up.
I read this for the "Set In South America" part of my 2019 reading challenge. I didn't like it, it was a 100 year summary of a family that kept using the same names every generation. I couldn't keep any of the characters straight and it felt like the whole thing was written in one breath.
I read this for the "Set In a Post-Apocalyptic World" part of my 2019 reading challenge. I didn't love it as much as the first two books, I think I had too much of a gap in between reading them. I found having so many groups of characters to be a bit confusing, and the ending felt too sudden and accidental.
This is one of my favorite series. I love how the characters come together and the journeys they go on.
I love this series, this was a perfect continuation of all the character's journeys.
I love this series, this was a perfect introduction to all the characters and their world.
This book reminded me a lot of Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine. Susan was interesting to read about and I liked how details were slowly revealed as we went, not all at once. I wasn't a fan of her very quick choice right at the end, otherwise it was a good read.
I read this for the "Set in a Country You've Visited" part of my 2019 reading challenge. Overall I didn't love it, a few parts made me laugh out loud but I thought it was dumb in general. The last half was easier to read once you get into the flow of the writing style, the first part felt too patchy.
This is one of my favorite series, I love the characters and all of their adventures.
