I read this book for the "A Short Story" part of my 2018 reading challenge. I really enjoyed it, I liked all of the different characters and the way many of them related.
It had a lot of feels, talking about the different generations and characters, but it was also really funny. I enjoyed this look into Magnus's life.
A great read by one of my favorite authors.
So many stories in this version! Quite a few I'd read before, but most were new to me. Read the ebook version, seemed to never end.
"Sea Prayer was inspired by the story of Alan Kurdi, the three-year-old Syrian refugee who drowned in the Mediterranean Sea trying to reach safety in Europe in 2015" It was short and touching with beautiful watercolors.
I read this for the "A Book You've Read Before" part of my 2019 reading challenge. I love Tamora Pierce, and this is one of my favorite series for sure. I devour her books every time.
I read this for the "The First Book You See In A Bookstore/Library" part of my 2019 reading challenge. I didn't love it, I found 3/4 of it really slow and I had trouble following the different characters and their relationships with the time periods changing mid chapter. The mystery had potential and the end of the book moved faster, but I still wasn't happy with it.
I read this for the "An Author You've Never Heard Of Before" part of my 2019 reading challenge. Not my style. The beginning where she's comparing the use of women in pop culture was ok, after that it felt like it dissolved into her biography of moving to LA and the books she's read.
