Shane Koyczan is one of my favorite spoke word poets, and To This Day is a powerful expression of the lasting effects of bullying and the inner strength that allows people to move beyond it.
I purchased this book from the author at the Edmonton Comic & Entertainment Expo. It was a little bit predictable, but otherwise I enjoyed it. I'm intrigued by the fountain in the meadow, and I was dissapointed that it ended with so many unanswered questions. I was really looking forward to some conclusion to the fountain history, which book 2 also didn't provide.
This was a great combination of Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, and I really enjoyed the twist with the queen and the witch.
After reading a lot of 3/5 books by unfamiliar authors, it's comforting to turn back to a loved author and curl up in a book you know you will enjoy. Comforting, until you start getting emotionally attached and scared as you get closer and closer to the ending knowing it's going to tear your heart out, or at least make you dread the conflict in the next book.
Neil Hilborn is one of my favorite poets, in this volume I loved The Door and The Future.
This book was fantastic! The art was beautiful, the characters were charming and hilarious, and even all political cleverness aside, it was magical.
Rudy Francisco is currently my favorite poet, I love A Lot Like You, My Honest Poem, Correctly, and Complainers. This volume was fantastic and I can't wait until he puts out another.
I prefer his second volume, but I will always love his poems Joey and OCD.
This was perfect, I loved all of the stories and how they add so much more detail and feelings to Throne of Glass.
Not my style of poetry, I found it difficult to follow and enjoy.
