Fun read!
I found the descriptions a little lackluster—except for the smut scenes and some of the action!

I’ll definitely read the second because my book club enjoys the series.

This book is a great resource for young people who may be questioning their identity  just need some information. There was a lot more on Trans versus non-binary identity, but I think the whole point about this book is that gender is Complicated and a spectrum.

The main thing I disagree with is there is a line where the author basically said that a condom is the the “most reliable  form of birth control” and I was like hell no

The last panel made me cry ❤️
Wish the ending was so rushed, and I feel like character motivations were confusing, but this was a great post-apocalypse read for kids and adults alike.

Tell me why this made me tear up! Omg, the sister bond is so great.  This is gonna be a great book for anyone who has siblings, especially if they compare themselves to their siblings.

Spooky! However, I was still kind of sad about the abrupt ending. And it felt like a lot could’ve been expanded at the end. What the heck?

Lies We Sing to the Sea

Sarah Underwood

DID NOT FINISH: 40%

The more I read, the less I enjoyed. I really liked when they were on the island, but then it just started feeling less and less immersive.

Once I read one of the reviews talking about how the author didn’t do any research and how you could tell this wasn’t based in Greece at all, I just kind if got over it.
