At first I thought it was sort of lame, but as I read on it got better! The feel of the book was a bit different than what I was used to, but eventually I really got into it. It is a fun book that made me want to read the whole series.

I found it amusing. It was a quick read (I admit I scanned at times) and I do enjoy books that don't have to be analyzed into the ground. Even though I know that people don't like this series, I found this book interesting enough to hold my attention after the first 20 pages were plowed through (I believe).
I'm ashamed to say that sometimes I really got into certain aspects of the book. At times I would slow down my endless flipping through to better understand motivations of characters...wait...what? Maybe I created that part. Anyway, I do remember distinctly slowing down and actually becoming absorbed into the story.
Maybe they aren't "cannon" vampires, but really, it's ok.
