was lindsay ellis ok when she wrote this?? is this a cry for help???
MAN i keep forgetting these books are only like 25% romance and the rest is like “would you like to learn abt the piano-making trade in 19th century england?” normally yes! but i like my romance books to be romance first. especially in this short a book. like they had one conversation, kissed, boom they’re in love? AND you’re gonna have like a good 3-4 sideplots?? NO im here for RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT. also not to be horny on main but i was told this was SLUTTY AND HOT? and yet there was one sex scene that was like three-ish pages, + a paragraph here and there. what the hell
3.5! its so tropey and kinda generic and it took me a bit to get into it but i actually think the enemies to lovers progression was really well done. like not outstanding literature and it didn't make me feel like the intense lovesickness i loooove getting from romance novels but it knows exactly what it is and does that pretty well so if you need a good short read!!
