it’s very obvious that this was written for 14 year olds but i don’t care i read the whole thing in a two-hour round trip bus and had the time of my life

No plot just vibes, the vibes are kinda weird and quirky but a slay if you like the Black Death as a historical era, very meaningless but has some very very gorgeous writing (so if you're a pretty writing girlie you might vibe)

the start was SLOWW but like at the end you're like "ah. so that's why". anyway this book was made just for me, connie willis sat down and said in 2022 theres gonna be this bitch called selin and she's gonna be in love with the middle ages and chaucer and i'm gonna write something so captivating just for her and then she's gonna cry because its gonna be like a knife and im gonna keep twisting it

the second half of this is a bit of a slay but the story is soooo slow to start and there's wayyy too much going on. i WISH we got to see the consequences more than "the story was published, thats it" - like the ending was SO abrupt. also please lets not have social media in books anymore because those tweets were so cringe im sorry

why did i think i'd enjoy a book about an army brat disney adult fitness girlie (the army sucks, i like disney too but girl calm down, and fitness ppl ESPECIALLY ig influencers give me the ick) and a football player (actually i had less a problem w this bc he was like yoooo i do not want to get brain damage by 30 and break my bones doing it so very based)

the stories themselves are huge slays 99% of the time but i forgor i do NOT like short story collections sorry
