As an adult who took Latin during high school:
Yeah. This made me have some full circle feelings, from a teen who read the myth as a student and feeling so connected to these characters and now reading this book as an adult, understanding why I felt connected to them.

And finally:
That’s gore, that’s gore of my comfort character.

Jonny Garza Villa, I love you and your writing, I will throw money at you to never stop making these books.
(Please write an adult book too please please please please please god PLEASE)
I CRIED. I CRIED VERY MUCH AT THE END.

This was one of the fastest, slow paced books I’ve read. I don’t feel the connection between June and Ivy and kinda expected a bit more of a developing relationship before they started dating. I’m a wee bit saddened, but the end HELD ME IN A CHOKEHOLD (last 1/4 was my fav part by far, Jennifer Dugan knows how to write absolutely devastating scenes)

No one talk to me, this book hurt me, esp the last two chapters. I was crying.

There’s so many plot twists in this book, it feels like I’m coming in and out of a coma. How the fuck are there 9 of these books when reading this ONE book took such a long time.

Sincerely, really, truly, I don’t think I’ve read a book that made me feel so fucking gagged that I felt sick. Tasha Suri, let it be known, right now, you have made me SICK, I am DYING OF ANTICIPATION AND HEARTBREAK, HOW DARE YOU.
I will say, this book did drag on a bit for me, I think it was partly because of how busy I got and wanting the book to just kick up, but, since it’s summer, and I have the time, I was able to pick the book back up and finish it, and THANK GOD I DID BECAUSE OH MY LORD DID IT KICK UP THE ACTION.
