Nice story but it could've been one book with City of Fallen Angels.
Lost 1 star for how many times Jace and Clary make out but don't quite make out because blah blah blah. That, and it was quite repetitive after some time.
Incoming spoilers for both book and TV series :
I like how the show decided to make Clary be the one controled by Sebastian instead of Jace, because it allows for the both of them to have lived such a situation (first Jace was controlled by Lilith, than Clary by Sebastian). I find it more interesting to see how each deals with that.
City of Fallen Angels seemed to focused a bit more on the Downworld compared to the previous books, but I also like the shows take on it better.

I feel like the first half of that book is a 3/5 and the second is like a 4.5/5.
That second half was really, really good, but that first half ?! I didn't like it (mostly because I was either bored or rolling my eyes at Clary and Simon(really, dating both Maia and Isabelle ?!?!?!? WTF ?!) )
That half was mostly random cliché teenage angst.
But then came the second half to save the book ! (Still wish we'd had more Jace tho, we had his POV only 3 times... )

That's book was sooooo awsome.
The twists were perfectly executed, and the feeling of anxiety during half this book was awsome.
The worldbuilding was soooo good to, I love how Idris ans the Clave were explored !
Jace was such a great and compelling character, and I actually liked Simon's POV.
My one complaint would be everything surrounding Max's death (also I feel so sad for him, he was nine). I wish we'd got to see more reactions of the people around him. We saw a bit of Isabelle's, and 3 sentences of Jace's, but we basically saw nothing of how Alec felt about it. It felt like his death was just used for shock factor so far, and not character development...

I loved this one more than the previous one !
We got Malec content !
And more Jace content !
Also, I'll choose to ignore that scene where Jace was like "We can just be together in secret" cause like, dude, that's your sister right there. Eww. Yikesssss
(City of Glass/TV series spoiler :thanks god I watched the TV series before, so ik they're not actually siblings but like still atp they believe they are so it still irked me. Alosexual people smh 🙄😭
I like that the TV series erased that specific part and just made them be what they are in the series. Not trying to get together. )

This book lacks Malec content. The TV series gave e high standards 😭
Not but seriously, that was a good book, but it got a bit too long at times, and I think it could've used ore POVs

I honestly don't know how to rate this book. The first half was phenomenal but then it just felt like it got long. Really long. It had less action and wayyyy more romance than I expected.
Towards the ⅔ of the book it started to feel extremely repetitive, as it was mostly Paedyn and Kai doing the same thing all over again. The synopsis had made me think the book would be more focused on the Trials and the overall story.
But overall it was great.

That book was very, very long to start (about ⅓ in mainly cause the events mentioned in the synopsis literally happens at page 200 (out of 600) ), but then once it picked up OMG.
I lived the second third and absolutely ADORED the final one.
The chapters are a bit too long for my taste tho (why is that prologue 39 pages long ?!), so that took some getting used to, but in the end it was fine.
I really loved the characters (especially Kel and Merren)(but really, all of them), I can't wait to get more ! (At some moments it really gave Six of Crows × Cruel Prince vibes I loved it).
I think that the people who are gonna come verify whether or not Lin is the goddess returned will say that she is, because she did what the goddess would've done so it's kinda like her spirit was reborn ?
