Cute book (jf) about two sisters who discover they are the heirs of the Grimm brothers and it falls to them to keep Fairyport Landing's humans and Ever Afters separate.
I just finished listening to this book, and man does it end on a cliff-hanger! Sabrina Grimm has had enough of the Everafters and their evil ways. But not everything is what it seems in Fairyport Landing...
One thing I wish is that this series was told from Daphne's point of view, rather than Sabrina's, as she is often a snot. And Daphne is not afraid to tell her so.

I really liked this book, having never heard of it until recently when I noticed they were making a movie of it. This is the first in the Dark is Rising Sequence, although they aren't starting with this movie. I really enjoyed the book. I would say, however, that the jump between this book and the next in the series can be quite startling. It is almost like two completely different worlds.
I've been reading a lot of fiction geared toward younger readers, claiming it's for my job. This series reminds me more of Lemony Snicket than Harry Potter. A very quick read. Good for kids who enjoyed the Series of Unfortunate Events books and younger Harry Potter readers.
I had never read this author before (she also writes Mates, Dates, and Inflatable Bras), so I didn't realize she was British. That threw me off a bit.
The store is of a girl, Cat, who has a boyfriend Squidge, who she might just want to break up with but doesn't know how. Her best friend, Becca, likes a boy named Ollie, who Cat also likes but doesn't want to hurt Becca. Can she learn to keep all her secrets safe?
I thought this was a little too much on the light and fluffy side for my taste. I'd say read about Georgia Nicholson or Mia Thermopolis first.

My most absolute favorite picture book of the moment. I call it my new guidebook to life. I think everyone can be a bit more posh. (That's a fancy word for fancy.)
If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.

The sequel to the original Fancy Nancy. This one is about picking out the perfect dog for a family. Sometimes, the fanciest dog is not the best one. Another great book, especially for posh little girls.
Another popular book with little girls, this one involves a girl who eats a few too many pink cupcakes. Not quite Fancy Nancy in my book, but still very cute!
This used to be one of my favorite series. I'm not sure why I read it anymore. I think it could have been wrapped up really neatly in one or two books, and now it's been spun out too far.
