I would give this book 3.5 stars. I liked it a lot, and I found myself flipping through it on my phone. I love watching characters try to come to terms when their world alters drastically. Elizabeth has been a witch hunter, gets caught with some herbs, accused of witchcraft, and ends up being rescued by the enemy. This is also pretty clean (you might need to explain what the herbs are for, and there's some kissing and mild violence) so it might be a good choice for your advanced reader.

It's weird to jump into a series when the title character isn't in it that often, but I was intrigued by this one and would like to learn more about Daredevil.

Ella Mae is finally going to get some new shoes, but she can't even try them on! So she and her cousin come up with a plan to allow anyone to try shoes in their store. I think this story illustrates part of our history (Jim Crow laws) in a way that will be easy for kids to understand (well, why can't everyone try on shoes? Seems simple enough to me!) An excellent choice for library collections.

A beautiful story I will be buying for my collection.

A story about dealing with a friend that moves away. Beautifully illustrated.

Zulay is a blind first grader with three best friends of various ethnicities. Her dream is to run a race, and thanks to her own persistence and a little help, she is able to do so. A great story about overcoming challenges and how all of us are better at some things than others.

I liked this book better than I thought I would, based on the reviews here. I liked the fashion aspect a lot. It's always good to be reminded of where our clothing comes from. I also enjoyed seeing all the different perspectives on the fashion industry and unionizing. Some like it, some don't. I also thinking it is a good reminder today, when unions are so often under attack, of why unions exist in the first place. It did take me a while to get into, but I was left with a lot to think about.

I got my copy from NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I liked it well enough. A good overview of geek culture for the beginner. Love the resources section.

I didn't expect to like the book as much as I did. This is the story of lyric walker and she lives on Coney Island. there are people coming up from the ocean and she is part of the integration movement. I got caught up in the story.
