I read this book along with the audiobook and I thought it was pretty cute. I thought there were better audiobooks last year (Marcelo in particular) but the book is cute. Louise isn't like the other chickens. She longs for adventure and boy does she get it!

I liked it, although it is quite different from the show. I appreciate both, and can definitely see how the book is a jumping off point for the show. My favorite part of the book was the examination of our prison system and the humanizing look at the people within it.
