I still really like this series. I enjoy all the different mythologies and historical characters the author works in. It took me a lot longer than I wanted to get around to reading it, but I'm happy because book 3 is out and now I can read it right away.
(Also, I have to admit, I laugh every time I read the author's name because I imagine Michael Scott from the Office writing the book. If I hadn't read the first book on audio, I imagine Steve Carrell's voice would be the "reader" in my head.)

I have to say, Sharon Creech books are usually hit or miss for me. I loved Bloomability, but wasn't too impressed by Walk Two Moons or The Castle Corona. This book falls into the love category. Told entirely in poems, a young boy slowly reveals the story of his dog. I laughed and I cried.

Book about the Templar Knights, Richard the Lionhearted, has references to Robin Hood, Maid Mariam and Little John. Good for kidss who like war stories, the Crusades, books about the Holy Grail.
I liked it, but I thought where the author chose to end this book was a poor choice. Definitely kept moving from CD to CD.

Book about the Holocaust and Hitler Youth. I thought it was a sad book. Based on a true story.

Still a really cute series!
Cute story idea, but probably had the most fan service out of anything I read for class. I had expected more from my seinen reading.
Not really enjoying this so far. Was recommended to me because it had a kick-ass female heroine, but it's a sci-fi book where you jump right in the middle of things, and I'm having a really hard time figuring the world out.
ETA: A few chapters in, it goes through an explanation of cyborgs, and after that it was easier to get into. I still had a really hard time keeping track of the characters.

Eh....this was just okay. Sorta like The Face on the Milk Carton. Kids are requesting it like crazy at the library though, so it must have some appeal!
