I wanted to read every single additional reference in this book. Fleischman does a great job of summing up various environmental headlines and encouraging critical thinking. He has additional materials on every topic, listed both in chapter and in the back. An excellent nonfiction entry.

I'm not necessarily a huge sock monkey fan, but I very much enjoyed this story about Trockmorton S. Monkey and his owner, Annaliese.

If you love the Nutcracker, you will love this retelling of the classic story. I believe most of us are familiar with the ballet. It has been a while since I have read the original story. In this one, Godpapa Drosselmeyer is the royal clockmaker to the imaginary kingdom of Bolvaria, and his pride leads to an imbalance between the mouse world and the human one. He enlists his cousin Stefan to help him. Stefan is the narrator for much of the story. Excellent.

I almost think I liked this better than the movie. Quite complex, and Agent 13 has a much bigger presence.

This book overwhelmed me a bit. Lots of information, time to keep track of. I think kids will enjoy it though.

Awesome. But really, do you expect less from Yang?

I enjoyed this one. It gave an overview of many of the investigative stories that Bly participated in. I knew more about her trip around the world, so it was interesting to learn more about her time in an insane asylum. I thought the book had a good layout. There was one time where her mother was mentioned by first name only late in the story where I had to pause a moment to remember who Noyes was referring to. Otherwise, an excellent tale.

Pretty cute. The incomplete sentences and incorrectly spelled words drove me a little nuts, but I'm sure that as a read aloud it's great!
