I liked this more than some of my friends. I didn't have trouble with the structure of the story either, which has a lot of flashbacks. For me, it was the violence in the story that got to be too much for me. I don't know why, but it was a bit too graphically described for me to deal with. I did like how it made me think more about Greek mythology than I have in a while, and Lore's path is interesting, although heartbreaking.

A spine-tingling thriller based on a real-life serial killer.

Wow. Amazing. My only complaint is that the audiobook mixing isn't great so you need to have your volume up pretty loud. Worth it.

I hope this will get to middle schoolers. It's a great read, which does focus on some adult topics (as Meg said) but it's a really good book about the times between.

This is an important book, and it needs to be in libraries across the country. I love everything about George, to how she uses female pronouns even though they don't match the gender she was born with, how she has a name picked out that fits her better, how she has friends but is also picked on. I still see a long road ahead of George, but I have hope that she has a great support system to get her through. A must-read.

An excellent graphic novel that hopefully is the first of many to fill the void of graphic novels starring black kids just being kids.

I really enjoyed this story about Benji and Ro, and the way they bond over their grieving and love of outer space. I didn't realize it took place in the 1980s until partway through the book (I know they mentioned Columbia early on but I just thought that was a made-up space ship name. Oops.) I thought the way the story progressed was very natural and realistic.

I listened to this one on audio and I found it hard to concentrate on. I do think a lot of good information went in here, especially as voter suppression bills continue to pass, but I think it's one that might work better in print.

An introduction to Poison Ivy, and how she might become who she is. I didn't really know anything about her backstory, so it was all new to me. I enjoyed it.
