I actually found this one, about bathroom use, more powerful than the one about wearing a dress. I suspect that's because I've read more picture books about boys wearing dresses than about bathroom bullying. An excellent way to explain to children why you don't need to police who uses what bathroom.

Pretty much what it says on the tin. A good introduction for Westerners to Chinese musical instruments.

I really liked this collection of short stories about love. I love that it shows different types of love, from straight to gay to lesbian to even, perhaps, choosing yourself. It does explore different parts of NYC, but they also bring the stories together, loosely connecting them. It really works.

What a life Addie leads over 300 years. Quite enjoyable.

Ziva is a talented magical bladesmith who suffers from crippling social anxiety. Luckily she has her younger sister to run interference for her. However, she ends up making a weapon for someone that ends up being too powerful and then she and her sister are on the run with a scholar and a handsome mercenary.

Overall, I really liked the story. I wasn't 100% sold on the ending, but I think I might have been thinking too much like adult me and not enough like a teen with social anxiety.

Skimmed through to get some ideas for future traveling.

Stunning illustrations. Just gorgeous. And the way Scott describes stuttering, how it feels, and how it's like a river--beautiful.

I'm so good at binary thinking, and I need to read more books like this to challenge that way of thinking.
