I think this book cements Patrick Ness as being one of my favorite authors.

I liked this one. I don't think you have to have read the previous books to understand this one, but it helps. This spin on Little Red Riding Hood is interesting. It deals with fear and love and how to deal with knowing someone you love is dying. Do you keep them alive at any cost? Red is an excellent heroine who is bold and a little grumpy and quite relatable.

It's a good story, but I'd rather read it from someone who wasn't a white man.

A cute enough story. It follows similar patterns to others, although I admit off the top of my head I can't remember which came first, or if it's a common enough pattern to be a trope. It's similar to "The Mitten" where different animals manage to fit in a small space. Families who love camping will likely enjoy this one a lot.

This is a cute alphabet picture book that tells the story of a girl and her goats. It's nice to have an alphabet book with a plot. This is also one of the few Polacco books I can think of that you can read with younger children, so it could be a good gateway book for Polacco fans to introduce her lovely artwork to children.

So good. Will need to reread series to get full effect, but very enjoyable on initial read.

I enjoyed the art styles represented in this book. That might be fun to explain to kids. It's also a story about appreciating yourself as you are, and that changing yourself doesn't always make you happier.

I love Steve Jenkins' illustrations. This book is a fun seek-and-find that also helps you learn about different habitats.

I enjoyed Lu's story. I didn't like it as much as the first three, but it's still quite good. I guess I wanted to see more of what happened with Aaron and Kelvin, and that didn't pan out to me.
