One of my favorite storytime books ever. Lots of foods to talk about, messes, toe jam...Just great.
This is a great story with a father telling his child about his tattoos and what they mean to him. I especially love the illustrations.
I liked the story, but I was so-so on the illustrations. I'll be seeking out some of her music to listen to soon.
I liked this one. It is beautifully written, and I enjoyed the magical realism. I just didn't love it.
I think this book is racist now, but when I was younger, I did like saying 'Tikki tikki tembo'. I think it will eventually become obscure.
This is my first time reading the book with the Cornell illustrations. I liked them better than the original.
So even though I wasn't necessarily rewarded with what I wanted, it's still a good series and definitely worth reading. To talk about what I wish happened is spoiler-y, but hey--it could happen in the future!
Definitely still enjoyable and definitely love Lara Jean.

I really enjoy this series. I love the interplay of English, Spanish, and indigenous words in the text. I love the notes on the back. Most of all, I love Raul the Third's ballpoint pen illustrations. I could stare at them for a long time. I may not know anything about lowriders, but I love these friends.
