I skimmed over the name-dropping of who the different families were, and a lot of the labels, but it was a pretty enjoyable book. I suspect this is one where I will enjoy the movie more.

I am not sure what to think about this one. I did like it, the magical realism of it. But it made me feel like such an adult. Jinny makes a choice that made me want to shake her. I think, as a kid, I would understand it, but as an adult, I feel like I want to smack her. I will be interested to see what my friends think.

I think this book is like 20 years old, but it's still enjoyable. Made me sad for the parts of Australia I won't get to visit on my upcoming trip.

Love this folktale. It's pretty cute. The audiobook is excellent, with three ways of hearing the story.

Read this before seeing the movie. I liked it. It was hard in some ways because no character is perfect and there were times where I was skimming, but I would give the next one a shot.

A great introduction to gender neutral pronouns.

I don't understand why everyone is so down on this book. I enjoyed it a lot. I got the same nostalgic feeling I got from the other books in the series, and I was happy with how everyone's storylines ended up. Just because something might happen doesn't mean it will.

I recently learned about Nadia Bolz-Weber through some Facebook videos and have been devouring her stuff ever since. We definitely don't agree on everything theologically, but she inspires me to rethink my relationship with my faith and that's enough for me.

I liked this one, but I didn't love it as much as Curtis' other books. I do want to know more about the community of Buxton. I just didn't love Eliza the way I love the mighty Miss Malone.
