A great purchase for my library, as it has hardly ever been in since I bought it! (Even though the holiday is over.)

Looking at the other goodreads reviewer's have summed up my feelings about this book. A good introduction to the gay rights movement but I definitely agree that it focuses on white men for the most part. There are a few mentions of lesbians and of trans people but mostly men.

This is a great YA read for those above average readers. It's the story of Frankenstein but through a steampunk lens, with it showing how the book could have been based in reality. I really enjoyed it.

I thought it would concentrate more on Lafayette's return to the US, but a good look at the Revolutionary War in Vowell's traditional style.

If you have someone in your life who is a fan of Erin Hunter, they Will probably also enjoy this book.

I loved this book, which looks at one woman's childhood experience in the March for Civil Rights. She ends up going to jail nine times between the ages of 14 and 15. Short chapters and illustrations make it accessible to reluctant readers.

A good look at the life of Joan of Arc, but I agree with the many other reviewers who say back matter of some kind would have been appropriate.

An interesting look at religion from one person's perspective. A good introduction to the five major religions.
