I love me some novels-in-verse.

A good read-alike for HP lovers. My only complaint is that the narrator switches almost every sentence, making me think that this was clearly written with a movie in mind (this is what each character is doing at each exact moment).

I wanted to love it, but the romantic subplot let me down.

I think this is best summed up as the war in Afghanistan/Iraq's The Things They Carried.

Most of my friends read this and didn't like it (for various reasons) but I enjoyed it.

I wanted to really like it. HOWEVER-
incorrect Maine geography + lack of whoopie pie knowledge= unhappy Sam.

I'm tired of Jacky and Jaimy (oh, how I hate writing that name that way!) I wish she was not interested in love with him, but instead her flirty self with no thought of commitment to a single person. In general though, her story is wearing thin, and I would hope that it is wrapping up soon.
