If you like heartwarming football stories, such as "Remember the Titans" or Lupica's other works, then I think you will enjoy this one. I knew it was going to be the kind of book for me when the main female character says "How come when I talk trash I'm being tough but if a guy talks trash then he's just one of the guys."

I love Ed Young's illustrations.

I liked the book, but I'm not sure how many children are very interested in jazz, particularly jazz based on the Nutcracker Suite.

Each chapter is 5 pages or less. The writing is serviceable. The characters are flat and the action is too.

Much better than the other work Green published this year, but he still faltered at the end and the action and characters still fell flat.
